About Testing

The allergy/intolerance test contains an extensive range of foods, additives, colourings, preservatives and airborne allergens. In all there are approximately 170 allergens checked. If sensitivities are found to any of the allergens tested, advice and information are given to help the client deal with the problem. An exclusion diet is usually recommended to allow the body to detoxify, and the possibility of re-introduction of the allergens is discussed at a later stage.

Within all 4 of the different tests, there is an extra section of test vials which test for Candida Albicans overgrowth, pro-biotic balance and stress on the digestive tract, organs and immune system. Also tested for is mercury toxicity (from amalgam filling), geopathic stress (natural radiation from the earth that  become distorted which has a negative effect on the body) and electro-magnetic stress (radiation from computerised & electronic goods which also has a negative effect on the body).

If any of the above are found to be having an effect on the body, they must be looked into and acted upon to allow the body to fully heal itself. Information and advice will be given out to help the client do so.

The test comprises of all the essential micro-minerals i.e. vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids - essential meaning the body is unable to produce them itself and requires them daily, within foods and/or supplements. The test gives an overall view of the body’s nutritional balance and needs.

Deficiencies can come about due to allergies and intolerances, environmental pollutants, vegetarianism, the use of chemicals in food production and overuse of convenience and junk food. They can also occur when carrying out exclusion diets; sometimes not all essential nutrients will be obtained, so extra in the form of a supplement or adding new foods to the diet may be suggested. Advice and information will be given to help the client correct and deficiencies found.
